See ya grey, hello brown! It seems like the reign of cool tones in bathrooms might be disappearing (or on hold for a little while) as the re-emergence of warmer hues start to infiltrate interiors. 

The last 10-15 years has seen white and grey be the dominant neutral tone for our interior spaces, but the last couple of years we've noticed some lovely cream-based colours begin to creep in. From beige and ivory right through to our darker browns and tobaccos, this return to rich tones is a reflection of our current need to make our surroundings more tactile and comfortable since we're spending so much more time in our homes.

This trend, as they all seem to do, has been included in bathroom design. White subway tiles are being replaced with warm beige and rustic clays. The natural tones are being used to contrast against the starkness of pure white and cold finishes (i.e. ceramics, glass etc) we find in bathrooms. 

By simply adding some rich brown towels or cream-coloured accessories by Oliver Thom, you can turn your bathroom from cold wash space to a Mediterranean spa!
